“Power Word”

My power that I picked was elegant.The meaning of elegant is graceful and stylist or pleasingly ingenious and simple. I do consider myself as an elegant speaker and some time I might even dress elegant. One person that I respect and consider as an elegant person and speaker is Michele Obama. This word really caught my eye because I know that I am elegant. In the past I have went to many banquets and many people have consider me to act elegant.

Michele Obama and Barack Obama are two elegant people. When I watched barack Obama speech I really fell in love with the speech. It really moved me to know that this man really care about our country. Elegant have a lot of meanings to it but the one I like the most is graceful and stylist. I love dressing nice and it’s good to have a variety of clothes. When I put on clothes to go to a banquet I feel elegant. In conclusion chosing this word wasn’t hard because I picked what fitted me. Many people have elegant ways of doing things. It’s nice to be elegant and a young teenagers. I really like this word because I just can’t stop thinking about the meaning.

“After Two Weeks”

After two weeks I became to understand the class. At first I didn’t like the class because I was worring about it being a all girls class. Then I started to realize I can really like this class. So the time went on and I really found interest in the class. I thought it was very weird that I was the only freshmen but it was cool.

It don’t matter who is in the class all that matter was what you get out the class. I knew that if I stayed in the class that I was going to grow to like it. I really didn’t agree with those morning page but I’m not the teacher. Some times it was very helpful. This is how I felt being in Creative Writing for about 2 weeks.

“Self-Relection”

Well to start of, I have enjoyed my exprience that I had in Creative Writing Class. I thought it was going to be hard or Mr. Weiler was going to expect a lot. I am the only freshmen in this class. I picked this class because I thought it will be helpful. I have learned a lot of things and yes my writing is becoming stronger. I guess since I am the only freshmen Mr. Weiler expects more from me. There’s nothing wrong with a challenge because I can handle it. I was just looking at the classes that they offered me and I don’t know why but Creative Writing Class really caught my attention. I Love that I picked this class. I think everybody picked the classes to be with their friends but I was the only one different. I know that because I am the only freshman in the class.

In conclusion I will like to be in this class next year but I will also like to explore new things. This class made differences in my writing. Another thing everybody that was in the class really got along very well.They never treated me another way because I was the only freshmen. This class was a success. I will use some of the skills I learned outside of school to make my work better. It’s okay to have average work but I like great work.

“Thinking Through Feedback”

When some of my classmates peer edited my paper and gave me feedback. It was really helpful. The feedback that they gave me was good because it really helped my story.Basically everybody that looked at my paper gave me the same feedback. I offered my classmates to give me negative feedback because it can help my story become stronger. Some of the things that my classmates liked was that I went into details helping readers to visualize what was going on in the story. Some even said that they could relate to my story. My clasmate by the name of Sameerah Huff said what she really enjoyed about my story was the title.

In my story I made the characters have their own story about themselves and many people found it helpful. I gave alot of details and really made it clear for the readers to understand my story.It’s good to have a story that make sense to you but it’s even better to make the story clear to who ever is going to read it. Some of the things my classmate would like for me to change are changing the way my story starts off, grab the readers attention a little better, it needs a little more to make the storyline more dramatic,and more dialogue. All these things really helped me with my story. When people read my story I want them to put their feets in my shoes.

In conclusion I think that the feedback helped me to make my story a lot stronger. In the future I think whenever I do a paper before turning it in I will let somebody give me feedback. It’s also helpful because when you turn your paper in you will get a good grade. If you do not want a teacher to edited it then you can ask a friend to look at it.

“My Final Project Proposal”

I chose to write a story. The reason why I chose to write a story is because I think that I am better at writing a story then writing a play or writing poems. Don’t get me wrong I can write poems but I just can’t writew that many. When I write stories the themes just come to me natural. I think I also chose to write a story because I can write about anything. So when I write about what I want I can explain things in more details. When I get a grade it will be good because in this class we already wrote a story. Writing a short story is just like when we had to write a fairy tale. When I turn in my story my grade would be better because I already know what to expect. So these are some reasons why I would like to write a story.

My story is going to be about “Broken Families” and the theme of my story is ” Coming together is like a cricle without a crack.”I chose this theme because my story will be about a mother with 6 kids and 2 baby daddies. She only wants everybody to come together for good not for worse. She is the only one taking care of her kids. This lady just want somebody to help her and take care of her kids. She not looking for somebody to just love her she just want the best for herself and her kids. Well my mother had 6kids herself but she didn”t have the same issuses. Some time it’s harder for certain people. In my story this happens in everyday life. I feel that writing this story will inspire young adults to be aware of who and how they fall in love with someone. My story will also inspire them to make sure he/she is willing to stay in their childs life if you decide to have kids.

“If I could write a best-seller”

If I could write a best-seller I would write a nonfiction on my life. My book would be based on my life telling the reader about when I first was born until now. I wouldn’t try to miss any details. I would like to talk about drama, action, and many memories. My book would be name Tanya’s Life. My book would be so good that everybody would want to read and buy it. I would do really good on selling my book. Since my book is nonfiction then I all my charcters will be real. I really dislike fiction books so whenever I write some thing I’m going to write it in nonfiction style. I would have a real setting and my theme is going to make the book better. When writing my story I would have fun because it’s all about me. People would know things about me that they wouldn’t never knew if I didn’t put it in my book. My book would be on the charts for the best selling book. When I describe my words in the book it’s going to fit with the theme. Writing about me would be so easy. I would include phrases and short sentences to keep the reader wanting to read it.

“My Fairy Tale a happy ending?”

Writing this fairy tale was very hard. I thought it was going to be harder than what it was. I really had a great exprience when I was writing the paper. I thought that when Mr.Weiler introduced the topic to the class I din’t want to do it.

I didn’t know what to talk about because I never wrote a fairy. Some of my story was very good and some of it can be better. I didn’t know I had it in me to write all that based on a monster. When we had peer editing it really helped.

In conclusion, the exprience was very different. I wouldn’t like to write an fairy tale any more. This was a exprience that wasn’t natural. Some of my styory was very touching.
